Energy Intensive Processes

The research team is concerned with the effective use of resources (energy, water, raw materials and labor) in industrial processes. Using various organizational measures, increased automation of processes or specific austerity measures seek to increase process efficiency and reduce operational costs. The proposed solution is always carried out to suit specific operations. The basis is invariably a complex analysis of standard services, including energy audits. The result is sophisticated process optimization based on real operational data and the extensive experience of the research team.

The research team use a modern laboratory for the practical verification of their designs. This allows for the testing of a wide range of appliances for the purpose of determining their effectiveness and other operational characteristics, including their home design. Examples comprise washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, evaporators, various reactors, etc., Attention is also paid to secondary devices, such as water treatment, automatic dispensers, tanks and heat exchangers and so on.

Currently in the laboratory is installed a comprehensive set of laundry machines and operating accessories. This is a fully functional model of an industrial laundry process with a capacity of up to 500 kg of laundry per shift with within top-quality research facilities. It is used as a model for the research of the energy-intensive process (ENP).

The Head of Research regularly publishes articles in numerous professional journals and co-researches in national and international projects.
