Testimonials

“Researchers at the HeatLab at Brno Technical University have been providing invaluable input to our secondary cooling control models for continuous casters.
Their expertise and knowledge of heat transfer and experimental techniques for determining interfacial heat transfer coefficients between the cast slab surface and the impinging water spays has allowed us to predict surface temperatures on cast slabs precisely without further tuning of our models. They have provided experimentally measured heat transfer coefficients and have educated us in numerical techniques for handling the experimental data in our computer programs.
Because of the quality of their work we have installed control models on over 14 continuous caster strands in our company with the prospects of many more. This has led to savings of millions of dollars for each plant by improving cast slab quality and prevention of damage to caster equipment. Even though we depend on them entirely for the services they provide, they have been very timely in meeting our needs.”

“Cooperation with 3D Laboratory at NETME Centre have brought substantial input to ourresearch and development activities in the area of 3D laser printing of metal parts. The team at 3D Laboratory led by David Paloušek is keen to be challenged, and it goes beyond customer´s expectations in terms of deliverables. They have helped us to accomplish our goals in timely and cost effective way.

“Our work with Pavel Novotný and his team at Brno University of Technology aimed to improve mechanical efficiency of turbochargers. We were impressed with prompt execution of project tasks and their implementation into conputational programs. All was carried out beyond our initial expectations, in terms of cost savings and the rate which we accomplished our goal.
What we value the most about working with Pavel Novotný and his team is their ability to deal with the issues of the project along the way, keep everyone happy and, most importantly, deliver expected results. It is pleasure doing business with Pavel Novotny and his team. We really appreciate help provided by them.”

We have been cooperating with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Brno University of Technology since 2001. This is more than a decade.
During that time we learned that the faculty is able to provide us valuable expertise in the field of testing, tribology, material science, and many others. And indeed the Faculty has been providing that expertise to us.
Our relationship developed into a partnership, over time. Currently we are developing a calculation tool for bearing life and contact pressure prediction, together. I would like to thank to the management of the Faculty for their openness and flexibility. I wish our cooperation will continue in to the future.”

“We cooperate on long term basis with NETME Centre (Brno University of Technology), specifically with Ing. Pavel Novotný, PhD. and his team on research and development projects that are primarily focused on powertrain. The results of research activities clearly meet the expectation of our company. We expect that establishing cooperation will continue in the framework of existing and also new projects.“
